We Are Part Of Advance Placement Scheme (APS)!
The Advance Placement Scheme (APS) for Foreign Domestic Workers (FDWs) is a pilot proposed by the employment agency industry to enable faster placement and better matching of FDWs for employers with caregiving needs. The programme is open to employers who are hiring a foreign domestic worker to care for a child, elderly person, or person with disability living at the same registered address as them.
Being part of APS programme, United Channel enables employers to conduct face-to-face interviews with prospective FDWs to facilitate better matching. Many employers welcome the scheme stating that being able to speak to the maids in person reduced the chances of misunderstandings about the job scope which may then lead to disagreements. Furthermore, as these FDWs are already in Singapore, they can also be deployed to the households in about a week instead of months.
